Experienced IT Project Manager

Reports to: Director of IT Project Management 

About the Role

OWL Automotive’s IT Project Management team is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Information Technology Project Manager to lead complex, high impact initiatives that help clients modernize, streamline, and scale their automotive and MSP operations.
This role requires strong ownership, problem solving skills, and direct client interaction. Occasional travel is required for onsite deployments.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the full lifecycle of IT projects in automotive and MSP environments from planning through delivery.

  • Work directly with dealership leaders, automotive clients, and internal teams to define scope, objectives, and success metrics.

  • Manage project resources, schedules, budgets, and risks using platforms such as Autotask, Monday.com, and Salesforce.

  • Coordinate with IT vendors, MSP teams, and third party providers to ensure seamless service delivery.

  • Maintain strong documentation practices and provide clear, consistent project updates.

  • Implement and support ITIL based service delivery processes and KPIs.

  • Identify and troubleshoot roadblocks to keep projects on track.

  • Lead and support onsite deployments (occasional travel required).

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field (PMP a plus).

  • 5+ years of IT project management experience, including 3+ years in automotive or MSP environments.

  • Deep knowledge of dealership management systems (DMS), vehicle diagnostics platforms, or automotive ERP systems.

  • Experience with MSP tools such as RMM/PSA/ticketing systems (Kaseya preferred).

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Autotask and Monday.com and Salesforce CRM.

  •  Ability to manage multiple fast moving, client facing projects.

 

Senior Project Manager, Automotive DMS 

Reports To: VP, Professional Services

About the Role
The Senior Project Manager oversees Dealer Management System (DMS) projects from initiation to closure. This role includes extensive coordination with automotive dealers and DMS partners, ensuring projects are delivered successfully, stakeholders remain engaged, and documentation remains accurate and up to date.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee diverse DMS projects including discoveries, migrations, conversions, and specialized initiatives.

  • Collaborate with dealers and DMS partners to define project setups tailored to client needs. Conduct initial assessments and gather detailed requirements to establish project scope. Develop and manage project plans, timelines, resources, and deliverables.

  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and ensure milestones are met. Maintain open communication with stakeholders throughout each project.

  • Facilitate problem solving discussions and adjust plans as needed. Ensure deliverables are completed on time and to required specifications.

  • Conduct post project evaluations to identify successes and lessons learned. Maintain accurate CRM updates (e.g., Monday.com) and organized project documentation.

  • Participate in weekly client status calls and client setup meetings. Attend Post Implementation Transition Team (PITT) calls to highlight concerns or expansion opportunities.

  • Identify opportunities for additional training services and collaborate with leadership to propose them.

Help Desk Technicians (Tier 1, Tier 2 & Tier 3)

OWL Automotive is growing, and our Help Desk team is expanding across multiple shifts. These positions support a wide range of customer technical needs—from basic troubleshooting to advanced networking and security issues—depending on tier level.

Tier 1 Help Desk Technician

What You’ll Do

  • Provide first line technical support via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Escalate more complex issues to Tier 2 or Tier 3 as needed.
  • Clearly and accurately document all work performed.
  • Deliver excellent customer service in a fast paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+ certification.
  • Strong communication skills and foundational troubleshooting ability.
  • Prior help desk or customer service experience.

Tier 2 Help Desk Technician

What You’ll Do

  • Handle escalations from Tier 1 technicians.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of systems, applications, and networks.
  • Assist with workstation configuration, deployments, and updates.
  • Work directly with users to resolve recurring or complex technical issues.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge base documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+ certification.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Entra.
  • 3+ years of help desk experience.

Tier 3 Help Desk Technician


What You’ll Do
  • Manage high severity technical escalations.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and security issues.
  • Support system upgrades, migrations, and environment optimization efforts.
  • Mentor and support Tier 1 and Tier 2 team members.
  • Identify root causes and implement long term solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certifications.
  • 4+ years of help desk experience.
