After 15+ years in dealerships, I joined OWL and finally saw what it looks like to really fix the things we always put off—reporting gaps, messy workflows, and outdated processes. At OWL, we help dealers tackle their long-standing wish lists without burning out their teams. Why Vulnerability Scanning Matters for Every Dealership

Why Vulnerability Scanning Matters for Every Dealership

In the digital age, car dealerships are treasure troves of sensitive customer information, making them prime targets for cyber threats. To stay ahead of these threats, proactive cybersecurity measures like vulnerability scanning are crucial. These scans identify security weaknesses, such as outdated software or misconfigured devices, providing invaluable insights into your network's security posture. Why are car dealerships at such high risk? They handle a high volume of Personally Identifiable Information (PII), have complex IT environments with multiple systems and locations, and must comply with regulatory requirements like the FTC Safeguards Rule. Ignoring vulnerabilities can lead to data breaches, financial losses, and reputational damage. Proactive cybersecurity is no longer a luxury; it's a necessity. Vulnerability scanning helps you stay ahead of cyber threats, demonstrating your commitment to protecting your customers.
